Dragon House
Graeagle, California
A three-hundred foot long undulating stone wall running through and connecting four pavilions is the unifying concept of this design. As the backbone of the house, it provides niches for art work, separates social from private spaces, echoes the terrain of the site, and in its massiveness represents an ancient architectural element sheltered by a high-tech concrete pier/curved glu-lam beam enclosure system. Approved for construction, the building of the residence and its gate house were unfortunately abandoned just as ground was broken.

Nakoma Spa Center Concept
One concept I developed for the Gold Mountain Development (Graeagle, California) was a complex of circular pavilions surrounding a swimming pool and hot tubs. The pavilions were connected by covered walkways and tensile fabric radiating from the entry pavilion. Fire and water were major elements in the design.
