Mountain Residence
Clio, California
Completed in July, 2007, the residence had been three years in the designing and making. As an orchestration of space and celebration of natural materials, its design drew inspiration from the Arts & Crafts Movement, Frank Lloyd Wright and Scandinavian design. The residence reflects the clients’ many pursuits in their exuberant life.

Nakoma Residence Club Spa Villas
Graeagle, California
The Villas were designed by Newland + Winnen Design Studio as intimate, luxuriously furnished time-share cottages, in harmony with and accompanying Frank Lloyd Wright’s Nakoma Lodge. Their origami-like geometry reflect the form of trees and the rocky terrain of the site, blurring the distinction between inside and outside. As the design lead on this project, I oversaw all spaces of its development, from initial concepts and site planning to the details of final construction.
